Here is a brief look at a celebrity’s Human Design chart using just a few of many aspects and layers of a chart. Our purpose here is to give you just a partial glimpse, through Human Design, into this person’s energy dynamics.

Stephen King – Master of Horror

Birth:  Sept. 21, 1947 at 1:30am Portland, Maine

Background

Stephen KingStephen King is a prolific, award winning, world renown author of horror, suspense, drama, science fiction and fantasy. His first horror novel, Carrie, in 1973 was a huge success and was adapted into a popular film as have many of his works including Firestarter, Cujo, IT, The Shining, Misery, and The Shawshank Redemption.

He has sold over 350 million books! He’s published 50 novels (seven under pen-name Richard Bachman), a few non-fiction books, and nearly 200 short stories. Winner of multiple writer’s awards, in 2003 he received the Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters from the National Book Foundation, and in 2007 he garnered the Grand Master Award from the Mystery Writers of America.

It’s no small feat to be one of the most famous and successful horror writers of all time. Plus, this multi-talented man has also been a screenwriter, columnist, actor, television producer, film director and musician.

An avid reader of horror comics as a youngster, he describes the finding of a paperback collection of macabre short stories in an attic as the defining moment of his life. After reading it, he knew that’s what he wanted to do in life. When younger, he presumably saw a friend hit and killed by a train but claims to have no recollection of it—but on a subconscious level it may have deeply influenced his vivid depictions of gruesome events.

When asked why he writes such terrifying stories, he responds with “Why do you assume I have a choice?” Writing is all he ever wanted to do, and he was actively writing articles and stories in high school. After graduating from the University of Maine with a degree in English he took odd jobs and taught English while establishing himself as an author.

His formula for success is to read and write 4-6 hours per day. He sets a writing quota of 2000 words per day and doesn’t stop until it’s done.

A car accident in 1999 caused multiple injuries and by his admission slowed his writing output, though he has continued to write, publish, and collaborate with authors, musicians and film producers. He turned 66 last month and still seems to be going strong.

Doctor Sleep, his long awaited sequel to his famous 1977 book, The Shining, was released last month (Sept. 2013) and hit #1 on the New York Times Best Seller Lists for print and ebook fiction (combined), hardcover fiction, and ebook fiction. It followed several other works he published earlier this year.

His Chart

Stephen King is a Manifesting Generator Type, which is the fastest of all five Types. And he has the 34-20 channel which makes him among the fastest of the Manifesting Generators.  No wonder he has been so prolific!
