My 71-year-old female Manifestor client shines clarity on the powerful innate human drive to “be yourself” despite social pressure to the contrary.
She lived a lifetime of feeling and believing that she “should” suppress her natural tendencies to be the one who took the initiative, got things started, and made things happen—which is what a Manifestor is designed to do.
She shared with me that she did, however, in many subtle ways act like a Manifestor during her life… although of course she had no idea what was really going on then. But more often than not, she was forced to be her “not-self.”
The message from parents, husband, and society-at-large was very clear: she was to be obedient and demure… like ladies are supposed to be. Her 2/5 Profile reinforced her frequent pattern of withdrawing from others, which gave her the time she needed to process the confusion and soul-deep pain of believing her natural impulses were “wrong.”
As a result, she spent much of her life in fear, not stepping into her courage and power. Before her Full Reading with me she wrote:
“I remember in my college years that I had lots of support for being talented and powerful, without the permission to express that in the world.”
But during her life she kept reaching for and initiating expressions that were natural for her… art, massage, energy and healing work, and development of her psychic abilities.
After completing her Reading, she wrote to me:
“Just a note to let you know what is going on after the level 3 reading. I have listened to it a couple of times and find it very validating for who I am and how I have done things in my life.”
And during a group call in my post-Reading support program, she said: “The biggest thing I’ve gotten out of this so far is that it’s OK to be me.”
Core Message: Our true nature finds ways to express itself, even in unsupportive environments. But we cause ourselves pain and distress when we try to suppress our natural tendencies.
I hope you’ll take full advantage of understanding your own Human Design and then share Human Design with others. We all deserve to feel that “it’s OK to be me.”

As a 73 year old 2/5 manifestor, I could have written this note!
Any way I could get in touch with this other magnificent Manifestor?
Blessings to all other Manifestors out there.
: I can SO relate to this newsletter. I’m 68 and there was so much pressure to “mind” our parents and teachers. Expressing ourselves was out of the question. Now that I know I’m a manifestor and have all these leadership abilities, I feel too old to put them into practice. I wish I had studied human design years ago. Sustainable energy is not part of who I am now. I would love to make a difference but health issues in the way.
